deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deep layers of muscle. It is used to break up scar tissue and muscle “knots” or adhesions that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, inflammation and limited range of motion. Deep tissue is not the same as just having a regular massage with deep pressure. 

myofascial

Myofascial release (MFR) therapy focuses on releasing muscular shortness and tightness. The goal of myofascial therapy is to stretch and loosen the fascia so that it and other contiguous structures can move more freely, and the patient's motion is restored.

sports massage

Sports massage is a form of bodywork geared toward participants in athletics. It is used to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition, and to help athletes recover from workouts and injuries.

chair massage

Chair massage services available for corporate events, parties, fundraisers, bridal showers, etc.

neuromuscular

Neuromuscular massage is a very detailed massage of muscles, tendons, ligaments, connective tissue, etc. Precise massage therapy releases problem areas that are missed by general massage.

swedish

Swedish massage is generally referred to as more of a relaxing massage consisting of lighter touch and a specific set of massage movements: effleurage, or sliding movements; petrissage, or kneading movements. It traditionally also includes passive joint movements, stretching and bending joints with the assistance of the massage therapist.

aromatherapy

Aromatherapy add on is complimentary. You may bring your own or I have a small selection for which to choose from.

hydrotherapy

I now have a Hydrocollator unit in my studio for moist heat application to target areas of pain. The application of moist heat penetrates deep tissue faster than dry heat. These clay hot packs are able to relax muscles and nerves without depleting or drawing up moisture from the skin, so that the area stays hydrated

I am available for in home therapy for those who are special needs in any way to help them achieve a better quality of life. This includes those who are homebound, bedbound, in hospice care or those who have any other health challenges. As long as there are no contraindications for therapeutic massage, I do not discriminate against anyone with any condition and honor the opportunity to bring in home professional care to loved ones.
